OK, so I'm trying Xbox LIVE for a month and after just a few hours I am hooked. More specifically, I'm hooked on the "Instant Movie" feature.
This weekend I popped the entire first 5 seasons of MI-5 into the "instant" queue and started watching. Picked up the Juliet pattern and my 3 giant balls of bulky English yarn and started it up.
This yarn is soft and squishy and totally YUMMY-licious...I want to put hundreds of balls of this stuff in a room and just dive in...THAT's how yummy it is... The description is so spot on when it says: It’s a conversation piece in itself, and it sure gives you lots of great colour to feast your eyes on. No one can walk past this yarn without looking twice.
I'll post photos of my balls soon, I'm just too busy squishing and fondling and totally enjoying the experience of knitting with this yarn too much right now to share it. And the pattern is knitting up quite easily. Thanks to AmpuT for knitting up such a gorgeous Juliet. I saw it while she was knitting it and then the finished sweater in person. omg. As soon as I saw it, I just knew this English yarn was perfect for it. And now after so long (over a year) I am finally picking up the needles and knitting one for myself.
Oh, and I really want to know what the deal is with these English balls. I knit and knit and knit and they don't look any smaller than when I started. Are they magical? Are they like Mary Poppins' Carpet Bag? Do they just have that much more in them than US yarn balls? I don't know, but I'm loving those English balls. I don't remember how much I paid for them, but they were worth every pence.

Actual Knitting!!!!! With Photos!!!!!!
Been knitting a lot since I decided my wrist was recovered enough to start trying again - I think I started the double-knit beanie about a month ago.
So far: one double-knit beanie for Spencer,
one regular knit beanie for Spencer,
one set of wrist warmers and matching sort of cowl for myself.
Not nearly enough yarn left for the cowl, so it's a sort of neck warming thingy that can also be used as a headband/ear warmer sort of thing.
Two multi-colored (brown and several shades of green) balls of Lana Grossa something or other picked up during a browse thru the clearance wall at ImagiKnit after One-Sock-A-Month Club way back a long time ago.
Silly poses yes, but had to get the wrist warmers and the neck thingy all in one...much better than the "Oh my! What's a knitter to do?!?" pose..
Doesn't seem like much for those of you knitters who have 10 projects in progress and crank out tons of knitted items a year, but it is so very very much for me who has not be able to knit for so long.
I'm a new knitter all over again.
Oh, and I've been doing all this "freestyle". No patterns, just grab the needles and yarn and go! I love it. Can't tell you how liberating it is...creativity-wise.
Love it love it LOVE IT!!!!
And all of this just in time for the warm weather.
Oh, and did I mention the double-knit beanie is too big? Hoping a run thru the washer and dryer will set the stitches a bit and it'll come out a bit smaller. It's not wool, so there will be no shrinkage cos of that...maybe I should use COLD water? ha ha ha
It's some acrylic yarn I bought while Spence and I visited Honey, summer of 2008. Spencer picked it out. It's driving me crazy. Love the colors and all, but it's 3 magic balls of yarn. I knit and knit and knit and I still seem to have the same amount I started with...seems like I'll be knitting up a few more single knit beanies out of it. I can crank those out in a few nights knitting. By the time the balls are finished tho, I know I'll be tired of green, grey, and rust. Good thing there are no more colors like that around here.
Next project is a baby something for my friend Cherry - her little one (girl!! Yay!!!) is due in May I believe. I won't say what it is here as she reads this... I did ask colors and what kind of yarn and all and I think I may have found just the right stuff. I'm going to try and use worsted weight yarn as knitting with larger sized needles feels the best right now.
Still have to be careful with the "new" wrist, so that's why I'm sticking to the larger sized needles. A few more months and I should be able to start knitting on some socks. Surprisingly, I have quite the collection of sock yarn...don't know how all those skanks came into my possession, but there they are...and my size 0 (or are they 1's?!?) square circular needles are waiting for me to grab them by the shafts and caress them with fingers and yarn. Can't wait! Those things are like buttah in my hands. I bought those at Stitches West 2009. I wonder, do they come in dpns too?!?!?
Off to try out my one month trial of Xbox 360 LIVE. Saved off some "instant" movies to watch and might just try my hand at Call of Duty - World at War. Watch out Spence, Mama's got a brand new gun (controller). While I watch a movie, I guess I can whip out an English ball or two and get started on yet another beanie. He doesn't want a scarf and scarves take too long for my current instant knitting gratification mood.
No-blog-Rachel...I'm BACK!!!!

It's the 500th post...whoopty doo....
OK, so it's not as inspired and creative and all hoopla-y like I wanted it to be...deal with it.
I've been fighting a losing battle with allergies and finally went to the doc today. Came home with some really gung-ho meds. Nothing like some booyah drugs to take care of bidness! Looks like I'll be on the allergy meds full time during the 'season' again. That's what I get for wanting to get out and bike while it's snowing pollen. I've got some nerve, don't I?
Really sounds like I'm on something besides allergy meds doesn't it...what DO they put in those nose sprays now-a-days?!?
Seriously tho, I'm just so excited cos after one spray up my snozzle, I'm ready to go. I've got lots to do, so the whole world better just step aside, I'm back...and I'm going to start knocking out some awesome stuff.
First off, Spence and I had this totally awesome Sammie Sunday planned out. Picture Kitty in an easter basket surrounded by fake grass and plastice eggs. Kinda like a "Watch out Cadbury Bunny, Princess Sammie is in da house/we're really not amused about this" thing.
As you can see from the lack of photos, that didn't happen. Total. Non-cooperation. Damn. Cat. Next...
My big plans for a really cool 500th post shot to hell once I figured out I needed a zillion photos to do it and lots more time than I had and more brain power than I could muster...so now it's going to be a series. I'm calling it "The Family Jewels Series". Not the crown jewels, altho that does give an idea for a Sammie Sunday photoshoot. And not those kinds of family jewels - you dirty minded people!!!
This series is going to highlight the artistic side of my family - as in every one is a jewel to be admired cos they are talented and I love them, etc. Which also will include Honey and his folks cos they are quite talented as well. And with everyone included, it will be a lovely, long and hopefully extremely interesting series. Stay tuned. Not only do I have to gather photographic evidence, but it all has to be organized and of course I've got to pull all these ideas out of my head, but make sure nothing else leaks out.
Good heavens this is getting long. Next...
Been doing a lot of reading...can't do much else, so have been knocking back the Terry Pratchett Discworld Series... came to a halt with that one tho, as I still need to get some missing books, so have moved over to Angels and Demons for something different. Love me a good mystery, murder every so often. Next...
Working on some costumes for Spencer's school. The drama class is putting on "Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead". I'm making 5 pieces and one Queen's dress. Cue panic. I've lost a lot of time with this cos of all the stomach flu and allergy and sinus headaches bordering on mini-migranes (oh the PAIN!!!). But that's all over now and I'm back in business. Time to start crankin'!!!
AHA!!! I've remembered why I'm such a spaz right now. I'm caffeinated. Forgot to tell the girl to give me decaf when I got a coffee while I was waiting for my prescription. NEXT....
Still trying to get some cool projects out of my head and off the "to-do" list and on to some needles. Shhh...they are secret. So I'm hoping the 'Jewels' series of posts will keep your minds off what I'm doing. heh heh heh. Next!
Working on another project called "Stitches on the Bridge". I'm hoping to make a small panel with the Golden Gate Bridge double knitted on it...thought that would be cool to make a bridge to go on the bridge. Have the yarn, have the swatch, need to grid out the design. Thought it would be cool to get in on some "sanctioned" guerilla knitting - after, all the panels get auctioned for charity. So I'm knitting for good and not evil. Next!!
Am so far behind on my SF sock club socks. Don't really care, I AM working on them and they DO get knit on during sock club meetups and bus/train rides. Next...
Lastly - yay!!! she's about to shut up!!!! - got some "new" stuff to work on more things for my shop! OHHHH, and speaking of shop, check out the videos that were just posted up over at the Phat Fiber blog. D'Lnn Designs gets a shout out at timestamp 6:35 in the first video. Yay!!!!
I'm sure there is lots more I could post, but I think I'm starting to crash. GOOD GOD!!! When did it turn 8pm...I've been working on this damn 500th post for too long. Gah.

A lesson in Balls...
OK, so J asked in last post's comments...Doesn't yarn already come in a ball?
Welllll.....sometimes...and it depends on how you define a ball. And there are Hanks and also Skeins of yarn as well.
These two little beauties are called Skeins (rhymes with reins), some people call them Hanks...I tend to call them...um Skanks. But that's just me. I read it somewhere and I liked the sound of it and well, there you go.
Most sock yarn tends to come in Skanks, which when un-twisted, open up to a big hoop of yarn which is then put on a swift and wound into a center pull ball by hand (as Cherry did) or with a yarn winder like my Hugo.
I have the ball winder, but no swift. Hence the huge balls of snot, I mean knots, when I try to ball up a Skank. Sigh.
There are also these types of balls, which can also be called as Skeins, but I don't call them Skanks. I only call the long thingies Skanks. They usually come center pull already - which is very handy I must admit. Although I will go ahead and wind them on Hugo, cos well, I like playing with Hugo and making balls. I will definitely wind them up when using acrylic from the local craft store because it comes in very large skeins and it's easier to handle several small balls than one huge center pull skein.
See the little round thing at the top of the paper sack? Well, that's another type of ball. I'm not sure if they come center pull straight from the store or not, well, cos I never give 'em a chance... Straight to Hugo with every bit of yarn that enters the Chaos!!!! I grab the first free end and start cranking.
Then there's the good 'ol standby the pure and simple ball. All rolled up, nice and purty and waiting for a Kitty to come play. Nothing wrong with a good 'ol fashioned ball, but they do tend to roll around a lot and get pounced on by Kitties, cos well, if it's rolling around and it's on the floor, it's fair game!
I prefer to wind up all my Skanks, balls and whatnots on Hugo into center pull "yarn cakes" (you can see an orange one in the photo of Hugo above). They sit nice and flat on the bottom of your project bag and just stay calm and non-rollie and then poof! they're all used up.
I hoped this answered your question J.
And now finally, off to bed. This was a wonderful distraction (thanks J!) and my decaf Yorkshire tea is all gone. Time for beddy-bye and sweet dreams.

balling vs bawling...
Well....technically, I was "balling" as I was winding up the sock yarn from my new project bag...but I didn't say that, did I...
As the program went on...it was hard to tell whether I was bawling cos of Pavarotti, or if I was bawling cos the balling of the sock yarn was becoming such an epic chore.
Ended up with a ginormous ball of a knot.
We all know the Chaos likes to have balls laying about, but not these kind dammit.
I was up until about 1am un-balling the knot and making a nice yarn ball out of it.
Tamed at last...
Really do need to wait until someone else is here to hold the skein for me...
Oh, and it is gorgeous yarn - a lovely, deep red with colored flecks...it goes awesomely with my olive denim jacket and my denim denim jacket...and my brown winter coat. I wonder if I could find a hat or lacey scarf pattern than uses sock yarn....off to Ravelry for some research!!!

Yarn Cake Birthday Cake!
Welll....sort of...
This being my birthday and all, I decided to do something a bit...ummm...different. :)
I've got another special, not so secret, but most of all "different" project in the works (coming to needles near you this fall) and I've decided to use the yarn I'm going to be using for the project to ummm...show how old I am...or that I have way too much yarn...or that I've lost my marbles.... The jury is still out on which one...
So...with the help of the Big Bag O' Fake Yarn (cakes) Balls (acrylic)....
...and without further ado...drum roll please...prrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmm......
10...prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmm
20...prrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmm
30...prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmm
OH GAH THERE'S MORE!!!
40...prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmm
OK...OK...exactly how many fake balls have you got Donna?!?
45...ba dum bum cha!
That's IT!!!!
Well, that's it for the birthday years...but...we still have more balls...mostly wee little fake balls - but they qualify as balls none the less.
...BUT WAIT..there's more...
This little bag o' balls only contains 3 colours. And I'm only typing colours instead of colors cos I'm going to make something British...and they don't spell colors right and I wanna make sure Honey can read this... (love you Honey - it's my birthday, I can be a snarky little snot if I want to - oREGano!)
My Chicago Bears Bear needs a new sweater and hat set. Time to get his footy (that's soccer for us US folks) on with a little Leeds United spirit.
And there you have it my friends. 45 balls old.
Now if you'll excuse me, that was exhausting. Time for this old lady to take a nap. :)

Castles, Kilts, Cranes, and Ball Sax
HA! Four promises with one post!
A Castle in Wales for Antonella:
A Kilted Street Piper in Leeds for Stephieface:
A Crane in York for AntiM:
Ball Sax for No-Blog-Rachel (2!):
Balls unruly and getting out of hand?
Sack 'em!
Ball Sax courtesy of the produce department at Trader Joe's.
Seriously though...these little plastic netting thingies are awesome. Helps keep those balls in line...and look - the white one is a double ball sack...just like it should be, right?
OK...I really think it's time I get to bed....
Someday, I'll actually explain all this in the context of more photos from my February trip to see Honey. Except the ball sax of course - that one is it's own story.

At least *someone* is making progress around here...
...too bad it's not me!!!
Spencer has finished his art project. We're off together to school in the morning. He needs an adult with him to run interference on the commuter train...I'm good at that. Yes, I took pictures, yes, I'll eventually post them.
I really wasn't going to admit this, but I just have to...I've totally farked up my sister's birthday present. I realized last night that I'm not going to have enough yarn to finish it - and I'm more than 2/3 of the way thru. Sigh. I started off with 3 very large balls of the main color and 1 medium size ball of the contrast color. Oh NO!!! But wait...as I grab for the 3rd very large ball of main color, I see a problem. This last very large ball of main color, is NOT the same color as the other 2 very large balls of main color. GAH!
Soon after I began a "tearing thru the apartment and everything that could possible hold yarn search". It was fruitless...I came up empty handed. Sigh. Might as well go to bed.
Funny thing was, I wasn't upset - and I still am not upset. Go figure.
Today, for an early lunch, I popped over to the local JoAnn's and bought the yarn I needed. After some design discussion with the Honey (he was very helpful), I cast on again tonight while Spencer finished up the "art project" and we watched Season 3, Disc #1 of the new Doctor Who. I LOVE LOVE LOVE me some Doctor Who.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to knit on the once-farked, twice started, very late birthday present for my sister. And nothing else will get knit on until this doggone fark up is done.
I shall prevail.

Ready...Set...
...GO!!!! Well not officially until this Friday....you don't think airport security would mind if I went now and just camped out at the gate for a few days, do you? Don't want to be late for my flight...
All I really need for the trip....passport, e-ticket receipt, yarn etc, and knitting glasses (knittin' in style, what can I say)...the Knitpicks goodies just came today. Yay!
And when I get back...this will be waiting...
The colors are gorgeous...absolutely gorgeous. Don't know about the rest of us, but Marvin sure is excited.

WIP it, WIP it good*
No, we haven't moved from Threesomes to S&M...we're just talking Works In Progress...and other yarny stuff... jeez.
And now with the help of Marvin, the D4S (Dalek for Scale), I present...
3 balls Karabella Vintage Cotton colorway 311 (sent in the sweetest care package last Spring from No-Blog-Rachel)and some Patons cotton colorway unknown (but it's an awesome blue color - thrift store find). Have no idea what I'm going to do with it all yet, but I'm definitely going to combine the two colors. Somehow. On something. Will take a while for the cotton to 'talk' to me. OK, OK...I just have no clue what the hell I'm gonna do with it...
The Mystery Blue Thing for my Sis...backside once again...about half way along...the fabric is hard to maneuver at this point...getting harder to work on...I shall prevail... Am debating whether I should take this on the trip...it's getting quite bulky...probably not.
The beginnings of my fingerless mitts...Rowan Tapestry color 177...pattern Paris Roubaix set from Anne Hanson...Love. It. Absolutely love working with the yarn, and the pattern is fabulous. Hope to have the hat and mitts complete by the trip...and will be making this instead of the scarf - and I'll be using the same stitch pattern as the Paris-Roubaix set so it matches. Need something around my neck, but not a long scarf...too much bulk under the new 3 in 1 jacket. I'll probably knit that on the way over.
SWTC Bamboo in the Serendipity colorway (also from No-Blog-Rachel)...pattern Holey Moley...for me... Might take this along...it's an easy knit and very portable.
Caron's Cotton Terry...10 skeins...another thrift store find. Going to be a shitload of face washcloths for me and Spencer... I plan on taking some of this on the trip...washcloths are quick, easy, instant gratification...and a great way to practice new stitches.
Made out of some old acrylic dk weight from my stash and a ton o' green and clear glass beads...Celestine...the beads really make this star...I have 3 points left to make. This will be an awesome addition to our Xmas decoration collection...and I will be making more out of different yarn, beads, etc etc etc...love this pattern. Not taking this...too many needles sticking out of everywhere...could cause a security meltdown...wouldn't want that now would we?!?
So that's what I've got on the needles...there are so many more projects running around in my head...for many things, just not knitting. They'll probably stay there for awhile...

Draw the curtains, lock the door...
...as promised...it's time for some knitty p0rn...
Ready?
This one has to be my favorite. Why? Because I still haven't been able to handle color work and I am awestruck when I see what others have done who can...
A lovely grey St st crew...
Another favorite...love the color blocking.
And last but not least, the Aran...
Can't say much...just letting the sweaters do the talking here. Going to definitely have to shake the hands of Honey's Mum and sneak a fondle of the knitting needle shafts that produced these beauties when I visit the UK. Maybe some of her knitty magic will rub off on me...
Many thanks to the Honey for photographing these works of art for us. Smooch.

Have Aran P0rn pix will post soon...
...I promise.
Honey read the post last week and pulled out the sweaters and shot lots of photos for us. I have been getting them ready for posting (and oooh-ing and aaaah-ing over them) for a few days now. Promise I'll post soon.
I had a lot of photos to choose from and a lot of work work and apartment therapy work to do.
Four sweaters...all very lovely.
I'll stop teasing you now and go back to bed...or am I actually just starting to tease...

Hitting the Annex again tomorrow...really...I am
OK, so things didn't quite work out as planned today. Never made it to the Chaos Annex (storage unit for those of you not paying attention), never made it out for a walk this morning. blah blah blah...
Felt like I had been up all night drinking when I woke up this morning. Total. Creative. Hangover. Complete with pounding headache. But I've got a great list of ideas to work on. Whether I get to do them all, only time will tell. But if I don't do anything, I think the creative side of my brain will explode.
And then I'd be using all my nice shitty water-free towels to clean up nasty grey matter.
Yes, it's late...yes, I'm tired. I'll be off to bed in a minute or two or three. Takes a while to come down off a late night burst like last night's. My brain is still running full speed despite the fact that my body feels like it's been hit by a truck.
On to the latest then....picked up some blue see-thru type bins at Target for $5.68...on clearance. Just love clearance...would prefer free, but hey...clearance is the next best thing. Packed up some stuff as soon as I brought them home. Have so many boxes ready to go to the Annex, I just might need to make two trips tomorrow. And that makes me happy. I'm seeing a difference in the apartment now. Very happy indeed.
Very productive afternoon spent with my friend Antonella. We went running about doing some of my long overdue errands and stopped every so often to shop, or eat, or chat. Picked up a new denim skirt - above the knees no less...what's this world coming to...and a really cool pair of baggy jeans for Spencer at the thrift store. They'll fit his waist and I'm pretty sure they are long enough to survive another 3 inches of growing upwards. $12 for both. You sooo cannot beat that. And they both look brand new! Score!
OK, that's about it. Not much else going on. No knitting today, so no fondling of knitty balls either. Sigh. I thought about it though...does that count as actual fondling?

Woman fondles balls...film at 11?
Ooooooooooh....I've just pulled out Hugo, and have dug out the new bag of yarn out of the closet.
Ladies and Gentlemen...excuse me while I go make balls so I can then fondle and play with them.
After I've gotten my jollies, I'll cast on for the Honey Scarf.
Honey is excited to get it...even though his Mum knits, he's never had a hand-knit scarf. She's made him some wonderful Aran jumpers though. He has promised to pull them out and take photos so I can see them...'cause you know I want to see them NOW and totally cannot wait to see them in person until I go over for a visit. Once I get my mitts on the pix, I will of course, post them so we can all share in the English Aran p0rn...
No pressure...he's just never had a handknit scarf...ever...none at all. Can't tell you how many times I've already swatched for it, torn that apart and swatched again. Hopefully I've gotten that out of my system and can just cast on and rock it.
But first, Hugo and I have some balls to make...and I've got some fondling to do...a knitter's fun with balls is never-ending...

Must. Resist. Temptation.
The rest of the Honey Scarf yarn just arrived! I've put Hugo in a not-so-convenient-place so that I am not tempted to stop work and wind up the last two skeins of yarn...
'Cause I am soooooooooooo tempted to stop work right now...'cause it's been a hell-of-a-day...
Only two more hours left...as long as Hugo is out of sight, he's mostly out of mind. I've also moved the yarn into the back reaches of my closet.
Yes. I am that tempted to stop work and play with balls.
Two more hours or so....argh...

Plays with Balls Part Deux
...'cause I just can't get enough!
Hey Stephieface, I am SOOOO doing that with my Hugo (see her comment). I am about half way through winding up all my yarn stash and I will definitely be going back through it to re-wind some of the balls. I notice they are starting to un-ball themselves. Guess that's what happens when you first start playing with balls. You just got to learn the right techniques.
I am having so much fun with this (both the winding and using the word balls whenever I can) it should be illegal.
Last night, I convinced my friend Antonella to play with balls too. I told her she would have a ball (ha ha). So, while the guys were watching the Cowboys/Seahawks game, we hauled out Hugo. And while the Cowboys demonstrated how NOT to play with balls (so sorry they lost Gary, it was a heartbreaker), Antonella and I wound up a small bit of the 2600 yards of soft, green, boucle. We wound up about 8 balls of it and then couldn't take any more. Playing with balls can be very tiring, especially if you are the human swift. You're a trooper A! I'm gonna make you something special now as a thanks. Sometimes you just gotta have some help when the balls get too big. Now she has the skills to go off and play with balls on her own.
Sorry, but I don't have any pictures of us playing with balls. We were concentrating too much on our technique and trying not to get all tangled up. The guys were too busy watching the guys on TV play with balls to bother with us. Antonella and I were giggling and laughing the whole time. Here we were playing with balls, the guys were watching other guys play with balls, and every other word out of the game announcers' mouth was ball. "He grabs the ball...OHHH he drops the ball...moving the ball down the field...throwing the ball." It was a ball I tell you.
OK, I've got to stop. I can't take it anymore.
(And Stephieface? That's 22 times I used the word ball this time. Make that 23.)

Plays with Balls
Last night I was up until midnight playing with balls. And I had a great time too.
(OK, you guys can think what you will 'cause I know you're all a bunch of degenerates with filthy minds. Just take this statement as encouragement and let those dirty minds run wild. And just so you know, I'm thinking the same thing.)
I've got a new toy to help me play with balls too...meet Hugo...
...my new ball winder. I just LOVE Hugo. I don't know how I lived without him for so damn long. We played all last night...
Our first ball together (sniff)...
...and certainly not our last. Because now all the balls we make together fit this perfectly...
...which means now I'll have a bunch of handy balls I can just wrap around my wrist and take with me wherever I may roam.
Together we made...
...Wully balls! And guess what?!? They don't itch! Looks like I can handle Wully balls now. But only if they are only 3% Wully.
And then we made...
...random balls - since I couldn't decide on which balls I wanted to fondle first.
Then we made...
...blue balls. For those of you paying attention, that would be the 21 yr old Spanish yarn in those blue balls. (Insert comment about foreign balls here - let your imagination run free my dahlings!)
And finally this morning, we just had to make one more ball...
...but beware! If you play with your balls too much, Nunzilla will smack your hands with her ruler and spit fire at you. Oh yeah, and you'll probably go blind.
(That's the Beaded Phoenix scarf/shawl making an appearance with Nunzilla. She really does spit fire. But you have to wind her up first.)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
And now for something less exciting (or perverted so get out of 'dirty mind mode' people) - It's FlyLady Friday!!!!!
OK, so things haven't been going too quickly on this project, but I do try to do a few things every day just like they say I should. Things do seem to be getting better around here - it's just not happening as fast as I would like it. But I've accepted that. If I'm not going to quit my job and devote my life 24/7 to organizing my household, then it's going to take me a while to do this. My sink is empty though! And shiny! (Let's not mention the fact that I just moved all the pots to the countertop, shall we?)
